Hello, I’m Shivnath 👋
Welcome to unprompt.dev! I’m Shivnath Halder, and I’m thrilled to share this journey with you. As a CTO and Co-founder with over decade of hands-on experience, I’ve witnessed firsthand how rapidly our industry evolves—and how challenging it can be to keep up with the latest tools and technologies.
My Journey So Far
Currently based in Gurugram, India, I serve as the CTO & Co-founder of CSEWhy, an innovative ed-tech platform focused on helping UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) aspirants prepare for the Civil Services Examination. What started as a media brand on X (formerly Twitter) has evolved into a comprehensive learning app that leverages AI for personalized learning experiences.
But my path here wasn’t conventional. I started with a coding bootcamp, which led me to my first engineering role with a FinTech company. From there, I’ve worked across diverse domains—from neo-banking, IoT, to low latency realtime communications.
Each role taught me something crucial: the tools we choose can make or break our productivity.
The Problem I Keep Seeing
Throughout my career, I’ve noticed a recurring pattern. Developers—myself included—spend countless hours:
- Researching the right tools for specific tasks
- Experimenting with different AI solutions
- Context-switching between multiple platforms
- Learning new APIs and integrations repeatedly
At CSEWhy, while building personalized learning experiences for UPSC aspirants and architecting solutions using everything from AWS CloudFormation to GraphQL, I realized that despite having access to incredible AI capabilities, we often struggle to integrate them effectively into our workflows. The challenge of making complex information accessible to learners parallels what developers face with AI tools—there’s immense potential, but the gap between capability and practical implementation remains significant.
The “Unprompt” Vision
This is where the idea for unprompt.dev was born. The name itself represents a philosophy: development that flows so naturally, you don’t need to prompt yourself to be productive.
I envision a platform where:
✨ Discovery is effortless - Find AI tools that actually solve your specific problems
⚡ Integration is seamless - Get practical examples and real-world implementations
🚀 Learning is continuous - Stay updated without the overwhelm
🤝 Community is central - Share experiences and learn from fellow developers
What You Can Expect
Having built everything from bhAi (a lightning-fast ai solution) to Smooth Search (a millisecond-response search engine), I understand the importance of practical, real-world solutions.
Here’s what I’m planning for unprompt.dev:
🛠️ Curated Tool Reviews
Deep dives into AI tools that actually move the needle—tested in production environments, not just demos.
📚 Implementation Guides
Step-by-step tutorials showing how to integrate AI capabilities into existing workflows, with real code examples.
🎯 Use Case Studies
Real stories from the trenches—what worked, what didn’t, and lessons learned along the way.
🔮 Industry Insights
Keeping you ahead of the curve with emerging trends and technologies that matter.
Join the Journey
As someone who’s gone from building React Native apps for Southeast Asian neo-banking to architecting cloud solutions for enterprise clients, I’ve learned that the best tools are the ones that get out of your way and let you focus on what matters: building amazing products.
I’m building unprompt.dev not just as a resource, but as a community. Whether you’re a seasoned architect or just starting your AI journey, there’s a place for you here.
Let’s build the future of AI-enhanced development together.
